To consider in the midst of our busy lives -
Just what does the Lord require of you?
He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
From the Biblical Womanhood blog:
This is all God requires of me: to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before Him. He doesn’t require a beautifully-clean house, or five-course dinners, or that I have all of the laundry and dishes done every day. He doesn’t ask that I have all of my “ducks in a row” or that I never make mistakes or struggle.
No, all He wants is a pure heart of humility before Him. What an encouragement this was to my weary heart! He sees past my my messy kitchen and unfinished to-do list and sees my heart. And that is what matters to Him. Oh that I might live a life poured out for Him and Him alone!

One of my favorite Bible verses. I’ve had it up on my blog for ages and just can’t seem to take it down. Just hits the right note I think.
